How was AE86 World created?
Having been involved in the Car Scene and AE86 Scene for many years, it was always noted that countries around the world had their local AE86 Club. Ireland, USA, Australia, Europe, etc. This was great, and still is today for locals. However, as the Internet developed, Social Media grew. People began to interact from all over the world, mixing their hobbies, interests and making new friends. This was no different for AE86’s. Being in Japan, I was often met with Japanese people asking how the AE86 Scene was around the World, they couldn’t believe just how good it was in places but could never access it or interact. It was then I decided to create AE86 WORLD. What would it be? How would it work? The main objective was to create a Social Following that people could easily access and relate to, Like, Share and Connect. The platform was to be Facebook! We created a Page to Share AE86’s from around the World. People Liked it, Followed it, Felt Connected to it, and it has grown beyond any expectations we ever had.
What is AE86 World?
Without giving you a trick answer, AE86 World is what YOU want it to be! It’s a Social movement, a Brand, a Label, a Car Club, a Following…it’s a Culture, a Family, a Parts Hub, Wealth of Information and Knowledge, but the Simple way to put it, AE86 WORLD is a collective term for all things AE86 related from all corners of the globe. It’s recognised Online, Offline, and by Word of mouth. It’s what you make it. You want to be part of it Socially, as a Business, or to get help with your car. We’ve helped Companies, Drivers, Secured Sponsor deals, created and sourced Parts… If it involves an AE86, you can bet that we’re involved in it! There’s something for everyone!
What next for AE86 World?
Fast forward 8 Years, and nearly 100,000 Followers later, the Facebook, Instagram and Social end of things has gone from strength to strength. We constantly connect and share content, promote and work closely with AE86 related businesses and clubs, helping people from around the World! We also continue to supply Rare and sought after Parts to restorations and full on race car builds. This will still continue develop over time, as will the Facebook and Social Media. We plan to travel more to experience the AE86 scene throughout the World and be in touch with our fan base and friends, and keep bringing people closer together! Wherever we go now,people are asking for a website, so here it is! We will update it with regular AE86 Content, Product Reviews, Car Features, Events, and Promotions etc.
The aim is to bring the AE86 World together and be a hub to help the people involved with these wonderful cars.
