AE86 WORLD | Italian Heaven

Spread the love

Since starting AE86 WORLD I’ve been lucky enough to meet and be in contact with alot of different people from all around the world. These special cars appear almost everywhere and even today I still get surprised by owners in unique locations, and collections hidden away. Andrea Lussana’s AE86 Story hails from a small town in Italy.

Andrea comes from the small town of Brescia, near Milan and is a Classic and Historical Car Dealer. Trading and sourcing some of the most unique and rarest cars, it really is a fascinating job for this passionate Italian. However, located inside Andrea’s own personal garage is a special collection. Three AE86’s take place over any other cars!

A panda-theme Initial-D style AE86 Trueno. A must have for many enthusiasts. Growing up watching Japanese Drifting DVD’s, Video Games, Magazines, Andrea always had a soft spot for Initial-D, and so wanted to keep one in his collection. He is not afraid to drive these cars aswell, all are road registered and get used alot on both the road and track. Having sold cars to Italy myself, I’m aware of how hard it is to register Japanese imports, and how rare they are to own there. So for Andrea to be building this collection really is impressive to see!

The interior is proper Japanese Style, a single Bride recliner, Roll Cage, Dished Steering Wheel and Handbrake lock kit. Purposeful and ready to be used! Under the Carbon Bonnet lies a blacktop AE111 20v Engine with Toda Cams, 4-1 Manifold and Tomei Ti Exhaust system! This car is LOUD!

Growing up with Italian Supercars, and dealing in prestige rare historics, I asked Andrea a simple question, ‘Why the AE86?’. ‘I fell in love with the ’86 as a teenager’ he explained. ‘I loved Drifting and the Japanese driving them. I’ve owned alot of important, special Supercars but none have made me enjoy Driving like this small lightweight, balanced car. The noise, feeling, culture’. By now I can relate to Andrea, we’ve all had that Hachiroku feeling right?

This prestine AE86 Trueno GTV is a real collectible. Andrea has kept it completely original as this is a future classic car and increasing in value every day. A car like this is perfect for every car collector. As much as it’s immaculate, Andrea assures me it is there to be driven still, and loves turning the key and attacking the Italian mountain roads.

Needing something to compete in Drifting, Andrea set about sourcing a competition car. ‘My favourite D1GP Driver is Ueo Katsuhiro’, he said, ‘I love his AE86 and would like to own it someday’. However when the chance to own the ex-D1GP Winds Auto Japan car came along, he couldn’t resist. Built in Saitama by Obata-San of Winds Auto, this is a truly special car. I first sourced it and helped Andrew Strang of FinalBoss arrange a deal to bring it Scotland a few years ago, but it’s since ended up in Andrea’s Garage in Italy. ‘This car will get Drifted and do events’, Andrea says. That’s music to my ears, just how it should be! We have much more to show you on this special car, so stay tuned to here for a full feature!

As a collector, I asked Andrea what other cars he’d like to add in the future. His list is endless of course, but at the top of it is another D1GP Car, Tsuchiya-San’s AE86, and a Black Limited. I’m pretty sure these are on all of our wanted lists. Aside from Toyota’s, Andrea’s favourite car is his Dodge Viper GTS. We certainly can’t argue with that! A true enthusiast and representing the AE86 WORLD of Italy. Thank You so much Andrea for showing us around your collection!
